Course Overview Understanding and being able to carry out HR responsibilities and duties is a challenge to most line managers.

The obligations are vast and ever changing, driven by the desire to lead employees effectively, the need to respond to changes in legislation properly and to manage core employee relation matters consistently. And all this against a backdrop of more demanding legally aware employees and rising costs to employers if things go wrong. Who should attend? Managers or aspiring team leaders who wish to receive an overview (or refresher) on their core HR responsibilities. These responsibilities relate to recruitment and selection, promoting equality in the workplace, managing time off, sickness absence, data protection, handling disciplinary and grievance matters, transferring employees, performance management, maternity and adoption, handling resignations and employment references.
