Hydra Creative flies the flag for South Yorkshire Creativity in National Awards

5th May 2021

Sheffield-based digital agency Hydra Creative have been shortlisted for the TV/Audio/Video category in The Drum Recommends’ Marketing and Advertising awards.

Hydra Creative are the only South Yorkshire-based agency in any of the 17 categories for agencies with under 40 staff.

The awards ceremony, which celebrates the best in marketing and advertising throughout the UK, is unique amongst traditional awards ceremonies, as the shortlisted agencies are chosen based on the independent reviews that their clients have left them on The Drum Recommends’ Platform, rather than relying on entries created by the agencies themselves.

Hydra Creative Client Services Director, Gemma Daniels said, “We are delighted to once again be shortlisted for a Drum Award. This is testament to the hard work and dedication of all our staff during what has been a very difficult and testing year. We want to thank our wonderful clients for putting their trust in us whilst we have worked through this pandemic together, and for reviewing us. We are full of gratitude and will continue to push further to be able to offer the best service we possibly can, no matter the circumstances”.

Being shortlisted for the award is proof of the hard work that agencies have had to put in over the last year. With many businesses having to adapt their strategies and move their focus to survive the economic decline, pressure has been put on to marketing agencies to be flexible and intelligent to ensure new goals are achieved.

Matthew Malone, Head of Video Production at Hydra Creative commented, “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for the TV/Video/Audio award 2021. Over the last year, it has been a struggle for everyone in the industry, but it has been a valuable learning curve, and we are delighted to have successfully been able to adapt and still create quality content for our clients. We are so grateful for the reviews that we have received, and we will continue to provide solutions to help businesses reach their full potential.”

Hydra Creative hope to bring the award back to South Yorkshire at the virtual awards show being held on May 12th, 2021.
