ICOSS, the Interdisciplinary Centre of the Social Sciences, is a £5.
7M initiative funded by the Science Research Infrastructure Fund (SRIF) together with a substantial investment by the University of Sheffield, which promotes and supports evidence-based interdisciplinary research to inform social policy and critical thinking at regional, national and International levels. The five storey purpose-built facility, with state-of-the-art ICT infrastructure and resources, opened in November 2004 and accommodates upto 100 researchers.
