ILE launches a redundancy support package across Yorkshire

Interserve Learning & Employment (ILE) has launched a redundancy support package to help people across Yorkshire who have been made jobless during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The free package on offer for unemployed people includes help writing CVs, learning how to find a new job, access to training and support including maths and English courses and advice on what jobs are on offer across the local area.
As one of the UK’s top apprenticeship and skills providers, ILE works with thousands of adults every year. These experiences have been used to design a new support package that helps individuals get back into work.
The personalised Redundancy Support package has been specifically designed to respond to some of the key challenges job-seekers face today.
Whether that’s learning how to present themselves well via video conferencing technology through to understanding what jobs are available.
The package gives people a boost to their skills, helps individuals to develop new job search strategies, supports individuals to identify transferable skills as well as giving local people the opportunity to gain a range of qualifications. All of the training and support can be delivered online and remotely with Trainer led activities and sessions.

ILE is also responding to the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s Summer Economic Update and the new “Plan for Jobs” with a range of new apprenticeship programmes local people.
Employers in England taking on new apprentices will now be due a payment of:
- £3,000 for each new apprentice they hire aged 16-18
- £2,000 for new apprentice starts aged 19-24
- £1,500 payment for each new apprentice they hire aged 25
and over.
