Insign Move Sets Firm onto Next Phase in its Growth

5th October 2016

Directors at Sheffield firm Insign Limited say they are confident their move to new premises will cement their position as one of the country's leading signage specialists.

Insign, which has a 25 strong workforce at its new 10,000 sq ft headquarters at Parkway Industrial Estate, is the company responsible for a host of iconic signs in Sheffield as well as working with major brands in retail across the United Kingdom. After re-locating from their previous base behind the Sheffield Arena, in the Don Valley area of the city, managing director Paul Woollatt says Insign is now in a perfect position to continue their year on year growth. He said: -We're really pleased how quickly we have settled in to our new home. We had used up all our available working space at the old premises and we desperately needed more room to service our expanding client base. "In no time at all we have found that we are benefiting from the additional working capacity and increased efficiency on all departments, giving us the confidence to regularly invite potential clients for a tour of our facilities and attract more business from a variety of national customers. "The new factory is almost twice the size of where we were previously, so it was a big decision for us with months of planning in every aspect. We have plenty of space to grow into but already, at the back of our minds, we're thinking 'what next?'" Paul Woollatt founded Insign in 1993 and the firm has grown steadily to a turnover of £1.8 million in 2015 - a figure which is set to be beaten this year. The company's work will be familiar to many people in Sheffield even if they don't realise it. "We are proud of what we do in the city - Sheffield Theatres, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals and Meadowhall are all clients - but we have installation teams out on the road working in different locations around the UK every week," said Paul. "So while the inspirational poem on the side of the Howard Building near the train station or the colour changing sign adorning the Crucible may be easy ones to tell people about, we will equally be responsible for a Toolstation trade counter around Greater London or a large Go Outdoors store in the Midlands." Electrical retail giant Currys PC World is another household name to employ Insign with others such as Monsoon, Accessorize, Goldsmiths and Connells Sequence Group - the largest estate agency group in the UK, better known as William H Brown in our region - all regular customers. Paul said: "Like many industries ours has seen big developments over the years as technology is constantly evolving. You have to keep innovating and investing in your workforce and machinery to remain competitive. Website: insign.co.uk Twitter: @InsignLtd
