International Trade L!ve #3 Event Recording

20th September 2021

Look back at the recent event recording of International Trade L!ve #3, which took place on 7 September 2021.

Watch back to discover and gain insight to the topics that are impacting global business. Keep abreast of the changes your business needs to be aware of and to gain answers to questions or concerns you might be facing.

This event’s hot topics focused on two important changes coming into effect:

Hot topic 1: Changes to International Trade and cross border movements of goods

The beginning of the new year will see the ending of most of the easements introduced by HMRC, following the end of the transition period on 31st December 2021. Becky Stark highlights all the changes you will need to be aware of, including:

  • REX Registration required for EU suppliers to the UK
  • The tightening of proof of origin for UK/EU goods
  • The ending of the delayed declaration facility

Hot topic 2: Standards and Markings from 1st January 2023

Update: It has recently been announced that there is an extension to the easement for CE markings, to the 1st January 2023. Although there is now more time before this change is to be implemented, it is important that your business understands what this will mean and starts to prepare for the change now. From the 1st of January 2023, the CE mark will no longer be recognised in the UK as an indication that products comply with relevant UK product safety law. All products sold in the UK will need a UKCA mark, whether they are made in the UK or imported. British products sold in the EU which needed a CE mark will still need a CE mark to be sold in the EU.

Watch back, leading experts Becky Stark and Stephen Kimber, to find out more and understand what your business needs to do now to prepare. Becky and Stephen are leading specialists in their fields and will be available to answer your questions.
