Law Firm Supported Sheffield Contractor With Original Purchase Of Building In 2011 Law firm Irwin Mitchel has advised its Sheffield-based client, JF Finnegan, on the sale of Elizabeth House on Queen Street in Leeds City Centre to an institutional investor for an undisclosed sum.
The latest deal represents a successful conclusion to JF Finnegan's involvement in the 25,000 sq ft office building following its decision to acquire and redevelop it in 2011. Since the transformation into Grade A office accommodation, JF Finnegan has attracted a range of long term tenants including Clarion, who now occupy 15,000 sq ft, Leeds, York & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce, Stanley Davis Group Limited and Murray Harcourt. Nick Gillott, director of JF Finnegan, said: -Elizabeth House has been an incredibly successful project for us from the initial deal to Clarion through to the tenants we have attracted following the comprehensive refurbishment. -The building is in a fantastic location within Leeds' core business district and being almost fully let, presented a great investment for the purchaser. We are delighted to have brought the building back to life and are now turning our attention to similar future projects. In addition to being instructed by the Sheffield-based contractor on recent sale, Irwin Mitchell advised JF Finnegan on the original purchase in 2011 as well as all lettings within the property. James Knowles, a real estate associate at Irwin Mitchell, said: -Elizabeth House has been a very successful project for our long-standing client, JF Finnegan, and we are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with them during every stage. The building has attracted new tenants despite tough economic conditions, which certainly highlights its excellent location and the success of the refurbishment works.
