Irwin Mitchell appoints new Real Estate Solicitor
8th February 2013
The Sheffield office of law firm, Irwin Mitchell, has boosted its real estate team with the appointment of Solicitor, Alison Mason Rowley.
Alison, who moves from Lupton Fawcett in Leeds, joins Irwin Mitchell's six partner strong real estate team, providing support on matters ranging from property lease work for charitable organisations, to commercial development advice. Paul Firth, Regional Managing Partner for Irwin Mitchell's Sheffield office and also National Head of Real Estate, said: -Last year was another tough year for the property sector, but I'm pleased to say that Irwin Mitchell weathered the conditions well and continued to grow the department, whilst also adding a number of key new people such as construction expert, Julie Morrissy, from DLA Piper. -We are confident about the next 12 months and Alison's appointment is part of our ongoing commitment to investing in the team and continuing to provide high quality advice for our clients. The Sheffield-based real estate team recently advised Sheffield Hallam University on the sale of its land off Psalter Lane to Bellway Homes. In December 2012 it advised long standing client, River Island, on its move to a new flagship store on London's Oxford Street and also announced that it had completed over £100m of property acquisitions in just five months for its client, the Mansion Student Accommodation Fund.
