Join SYHA/Working win on Refugee Week

30th May 2019

Involving inspirational speakers, a chance to visit different workshops, networking opportunities, a gospel choir performance, and of course, breakfast refreshments, this event will help you to understand the importance of employment for Refugees and Migrants.

Do you want to be part of celebrating the skills, talents, creativity and value that refugees and migrants bring to the labour market? Have you got stories to share yourself? Or do you want to learn about how you can be a more supportive employer or colleague? You will have an opportunity to visit each of 3 workshops hosted by different organisations. The workshops will involve refugee rights - checking refugee documents, visas and employment rights/ first impressions/ and how we can be Refugee & Migrant confident employers. Working Win (The Sheffield City Region Health Led Employment Trial) will lead this event with support from The Refugee Council Sheffield and New Beginnings at Voluntary Action Sheffield. There are limited spaces so we advise booking free tickets for this event as soon as possible. https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/embracing-employment-for-refugees-and-migrants-tickets-61151402491?aff=ebdssbdestsearch Breakfast to start from 9.30am / event start 10am For more information please contact Becky Musonda: b.musonda@syha.co.uk 07393462853
