KAT Communications Rings up the Benefits for Autism Plus

20th February 2013

Autism Plus, a local charity that supports individuals with autism and other complex conditions across Yorkshire, recently received a cheque for £300 from KAT Communications.

The money was raised from the sale of mobile phones and tablets to businesses and was issued at part of their KAT in the Community project that has raised thousands of pounds in the last 3 years in its quest to create awareness and funds for local causes. The donation will be used to develop the gardens surrounding Thorne House, one of the charity's residential homes in Thorne, Doncaster. KAT had previously supported Autism Plus by donating tickets to the circus for some of their customers. The promotion was the idea of Anthony Temperton, Director of KAT Communications.  He said: -Autism Plus is a fantastic charity that I am very happy to support.  They do amazing work in helping people with autism and disabilities.  I really think they are South Yorkshires best kept secret. Mark Burton, Future Plus Appeal Director for Autism Plus said: -Our gardens at Thorne House are going to look a lot better now thanks to this donation from KAT Communications.  We really appreciate the ongoing support of Anthony and his company, and I would encourage other businesses to consider supporting our valuable work, especially through our Future Plus Appeal. KAT Communications are a Doncaster based, family run telecoms business, who support businesses by using their Knowledge About Telecoms to help them become more productive and profitable.
