Keebles retains its prestigious Law Firm of the Year title

15th June 2018

The award-winning corporate team at Keebles has retained its high-profile title of Law Firm of the Year title at the Sheffield City Region 2018 Dealmakers Awards.

Judges were impressed by the volume and quality of transactions which the team - one of the biggest of its kind in Yorkshire - completed across the qualifying period. Three deals in which Keebles acted also clinched top accolades. They include representing F1 logistics specialist Delivered on Time Ltd on its sale to global logistics giant DHL for an undisclosed sum which scooped the National/International Deal of the Year category. The acquisition will build on DHL's existing offering, providing market leading logistics to high end motoring and motorsport events, including F1 and Gumball Rally. A purchase where the practice acted for Chesterfield-based BG Engineering on its acquisition of the share capital of Sheffield-based Pentag Gears and Oilfield Equipment took the Deal of the Year (up to £2.5m) category. Pentag, which has been operating for over a century, designs and manufactures high quality gearing for bespoke projects. Completing the hat trick, Keebles represented Sheffield-headquartered Independent Forgings & Alloys (IFA) which received an £8.5m capital investment from BGF to support its growth plans a deal which landed the Mid-Market Deal of the Year (£2.5m - £10m). One of Britain's leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers, the funding will help fuel a number of investment initiatives designed to enhance IFA's manufacturing and testing capabilities - delivering new commercial opportunities. A total of eight deals in which Keebles acted were shortlisted in the awards, with partner, Matt Ainsworth, also in the final line up for the Dealmaker of the Year. Said Matt: -To say we are proud and delighted with these raft of achievements is an understatement. Our success is testimony to the high regard in which our clients hold us and to the commitment, talent and drive of our highly experienced team of dealmakers.    The achievements follow Keebles vibrant rebrand which marks another major chapter in the rich heritage of the firm which has served businesses and individuals in Yorkshire for over a century.
