Whether helping to: buy household appliances, set-up payments or benefits, register with a local GP, find accommodation, or simply get out and about. The organisation is at the heart of the local community, and an invaluable resource. Operating special services for the most vulnerable, older people can request a personal assistant to help around the house, chat to, or go shopping with. Likewise, for older people with dementia, Age UK Sheffield runs a Wellbeing Centre, where visitors can take part in various activities, laugh, and make new friends.
