Knight Frank Appointed to Three Sheffield Offices

24th September 2015

The Sheffield office of property consultancy Knight Frank has been appointed to market three major office buildings in the city totalling more than 153,000 sq ft.

Office and agency team members Peter Whiteley, Ben White and Rebecca Schofield have been instructed on prestigious space at Navigation House in Canal Basin, Steel City House on West Street and Hallamshire Business Park off Ecclesall Road as the city's prime office stock availability dwindles. The announcement comes shortly after Knight Frank was appointed to market 65,000 sq ft of speculative development at R-evolution @ Gateway 36, off the Dearne Valley Parkway in Barnsley. Peter Whiteley, partner at Knight Frank, said: "These three appointments are to market some of Sheffield's finest office space and strengthens our position in the Sheffield commercial property market. The appointments also present a variety of opportunities for companies wanting to start out, expand or relocate to the city at a time where prime office space is at very low levels of availability. "Navigation House occupies a prominent position fronting the Sheffield Parkway and forming part of the Victoria Quays canal basin development adjacent to the Sheffield headquarters of Nabarro. It is a detached, purpose-built Grade A office with an impressive reception with lift access to all floors, open plan floor plates of up to 9,570 sq ft and car parking and is already home to clinical research services organisation Paraxcel." A £5m makeover of West Street's well-known, triangular Steel City House is now underway by new owners Scott's Developments who purchased the landmark office building earlier this year. Peter added: "This Grade II art deco style listed block is set to provide 63,000 sq ft of much needed quality office space, right in Sheffield city centre and is available to let as a whole or on a floor by floor basis. "The plans, paid for by a £5m loan from the Jessica Fund, include a new top floor, an atrium, open floors linked by bridges and glass lifts with work completing in summer 2016." Hallamshire Business Park is located just off Ecclesall Road at the junction of Napier Street and Summerfield Street and is currently occupied by a number of tenants including Hewlett Packard and Sheffield Hallam University. Peter said: "Hallamshire Business Park offers extremely flexible options through approximately 65,000 sq ft of quality, purpose-built office accommodation, arranged in two blocks of 20,259 sq ft and 45,335 sq ft and with on-site car parking for 170 vehicles. "It is available either as a whole, or individual buildings and suites can be accommodated from approximately 7,000 sq ft upwards and is in an established office location with nearby occupiers including Aviva, Investec, Shorts Accountants, Regus and the Inland Revenue."
