Launch of a new retail space focussing on small Black Minority Ethnic businesses

Local organisation SYAC Business Centre is to launch a new enterprise initiative encouraging more BME business start-ups in Sheffield.
SYAC Business and Enterprise Training Centre is launching a new retail unit for entrepreneurs in the BME community to sell their products. The '110 Outlet' will allow new businesses to meet potential customers and test out their market whilst trading. This new initiative is part of SYAC's 'All Round Enterprise' (A.R.E) project. The aim is to provide learning opportunities, encourage entrepreneurship and identify the skills, talents and abilities of the BME community in Sheffield. The '110 Outlet' will be launching in the New Year from Monday 4th February 2019. This is a perfect time to complete that New Year's resolution and start your new business! SYAC are looking for independent businesses to join their outlet. Items that the outlet is looking to sell include unique jewellery, clothing, accessories, crafts, greeting cards and anything of a similar nature. SYAC aims to promote local crafts, designs, hobbies and anything and anyone who has a product to sell in the BME community in Sheffield. Small businesses, entrepreneurs and established businesses are all welcome. The main focus of the project is to help local Sheffield BME people to gain experience selling their products as part of an organisation that champions enterprise. The 110 Outlet will be open Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 10am until 4pm. 'Business Basics' workshops will be held at the outlet one day a week and will be available to the general public (limited spaces). The workshops will include tips on how to set up your own business, as well as advice on how to sell online. About SYAC: SYAC is an organisation which champions new business start-ups and has been established for over 25 years in Sheffield. This Business and Enterprise Training Centre provides business units and office space which can be used for meetings, training courses, workshops, networking and conferences. Facilities include over 23 business units which consist of a computer suite, retail and office space and meeting rooms.
