Launch of the Nabarro / Yorkshire Post HS2 Survey

7th January 2014

The current timetable for HS2 to arrive in Yorkshire is 2032.

The current estimated cost is £50bn. But will it benefit your business? Will it benefit Yorkshire? Will it even happen? The Sheffield office of national law firm Nabarro teamed up with the Yorkshire Post to conduct a region-wide survey at the end of 2013 to gauge businesses' views on the Government's HS2 project. The aim of the survey was to give business people the opportunity to share their thoughts on whether HS2 will deliver economic benefits to the region, as well as how their own individual business might be affected. The findings of the survey (which will be fed directly into the HS2 Growth Task Force) are being launched at a panel debate chaired by the BBC's Nik Wood. Chair BBC broadcaster Nik Wood Panellists Gerald Jennings, Portfolio Director of Land Securities Group PLC Roger Marsh, Chair of the Leeds City Region Local Enterprise Partnership Paul Chapman, Interim Communications Director of HS2 Ltd Stuart Green, retired founder and MD of a stockholding company in the Sheffield steel industry Vincent Middleton, Chairman of Newburgh Engineering Co Limited Programme 7.30am Registration and breakfast 8.00am Survey launch and panel debate 9.30am Close Venue Aspire, 2 Infirmary Street, Leeds LS1 2JP If you would like to attend please email events@nabarro.com
