Leisure Operator Takeover of City Attraction

17th April 2015

A Sheffield leisure operator is set for new heights after taking over the management at a city attraction.

Sheffield City Trust (SCT) is the new operator of the High Ropes Adventure Course located next to iceSheffield, in Attercliffe. Opened in 2010, the course features 34 challenging obstacles set at varying heights above the ground including rope bridges, scramble nets, zip wires, swinging logs, balance beams and a 13m power fan drop. Up to eight new positions will be created by the takeover, which will see the Trust re-launch the High Ropes Adventure Course next month. Sheffield City Trust's charitable objective is to improve the health and wellbeing of Sheffield people by providing facilities for sport and leisure activities. Steve Brailey, chief executive of the charity, said: -The High Ropes Adventure Course is a great addition to our portfolio. It's a great fun and active activity for local businesses looking for a unique team building or networking venue. -With a renowned 13m leap of faith challenge at the end of the course, it also attracts tourists from across to Sheffield, boosting the local economy.
