Limited University Places Available for 2013

A limited number of undergraduate places are still available at Sheffield Hallam University for students wishing to begin their studies in September 2013.

These places are available on a wide range of courses including business, sport, nursing, art and design, engineering and law.  There are smaller numbers of places available on a few other courses. Up to date lists of courses that have places available will be published on the Sheffield Hallam website in advance of A-level results day, on the evening of Wednesday 14 August. Tracey Lancaster, director of corporate affairs at Sheffield Hallam University said: "The University received more than 36,500 applications for places this year and remains one of the most popular universities in the UK by this measure. We offer students a university experience that combines academic rigour with professional practice - an essential combination in today's job market. "For those students whose plans may have changed, or those who are still uncertain about where to study, there are still opportunities to take advantage of a place here at Sheffield Hallam.  However, places are limited, so if you would like to find out more about the options available to you, contact us on Thursday 15 August.  We will also be inviting students to a dedicated open day for Clearing candidates the following week." Anyone interested in taking up a place at Sheffield Hallam should check the University website at www.shu.ac.uk/clearing from the evening of 14 August for full details of courses with places available. This page also provides an opportunity to see Caitlin O'Mara's story - she chose Sheffield Hallam in Clearing last year and has just completed the first year of a criminology degree at the University. Students will also be able to call the University's dedicated Clearing hotline on 0300 555 0567 from 7am - 7pm on Thursday 15 August and speak to a dedicated member of our specialist team. Clearing applicants will be invited to visit the University to meet academic staff and students and talk to support services at our Clearing open day on Tuesday 20 August.
