Loadhog Supports City Charity Which Helps Young People To Thrive
26th November 2018
The charity team at Sheffield's transit packaging innovator, Loadhog had no hesitation in deciding to donate £1,000 to a city charity which helps young people to achieve their potential.
Sheffield Futures offers a range of services aimed at helping young people with every aspect of their lives. The charity supports them in schools and youth clubs, offering a helping hand when times are hard. It encourages them to have a say on matters which affect them, work to protect them from risk and encourage them to live a positive and productive life. The Loadhog donation was suggested by Georgina Rosson at Loadhog, who thought that Sheffield Futures would appreciate the additional funding to improve the health and wellbeing of young people, who generally range from 13 to 25 years. The extra money will help to sustain and grow the charity's Health Zone where young people can gain access to physical and emotional wellbeing support, ensuring that crisis points are not reached. The money will also help to sustain the weekly Wellbeing Café to which young people can self-refer or just drop-in for access to a service which allows them to talk about their feelings, take part in activities, listen to inspirational speakers or receive peer-to-peer support. Natasha Bright, the Sheffield Futures marketing and communications co-ordinator, commented: -We rely heavily on support from local businesses and are so grateful for Loadhog's generous donation which will make a huge difference to many young people in Sheffield.
