2nd October 2013
A Yorkshire Chief Executive is set to chair a Charity Times Investment conference in London.
The event for Chief Executives and financial directors of charities with £1.5million or more in investable assets is being held to help increase understanding and knowledge about investments. Philip Bartey, Group Chief Executive of Autism Plus has been specially selected to chair the 3rd Annual Charity Times Investment Conference at The Institute of Directors hub in London. Philip has over twenty years experience of working within the charitable sector and is the UK Chairman of the Izara Khom Loy Trust, a member of the Institute of Directors (IOD) and fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He joined Autism Plus as Chief Executive in 2005 and has been awarded the Yorkshire and Humber IOD Director of the Year Award and National Charity Times 'Charity Principal of the Year' Award in 2010. The conference brings together leading investment managers focused on the sector to analyse the range of investment offerings available to charities and how charities can exploit investments. There will also be opportunities to discuss investment issues with professionals, analyse various approaches and listen to expert ideas. Philip Bartey said: -I'm delighted to have been invited to chair this prestigious event. The conference, especially in these uncertain and difficult financial times is the ideal opportunity for charities to begin to diversify and look at investing. We have an incredible array of expertise in the speakers, panellist and investment managers. Charities can access all of this investment knowledge and experience for free. I look forward to hearing from the experts in this field as well as hearing from others within the charitable sector. For more information and to book visit www.charitytimes.com/investment
