Local Lads Shave Their Heads To Support Their NHS’

14th April 2020

SEVEN Sheffield men have had a close shave in order to show their support for the NHS here in Sheffield. And now they need your help!

Raising money for Sheffield Hospitals Charity’s ‘Support your NHS’ appeal, Ryan Smith, Adam Cone, Ricky Brunt, Thomas Billam, Liam Howard, Marcus Pike and James Kirkby have all taken the bold step to shave their heads.

As our hospitals come under increasing pressure during the current coronavirus pandemic, the seven lads have gone the extra mile to help support the incredible NHS staff who continue to work around the clock to care for us all.

Ryan Smith, who was speaking afterwards, said: “We have done this to support the local hospitals in Sheffield as we wanted to give a little back to the places that care for and help all of us Sheffielders out in times of need.

“We know that times are challenging at the moment, so we would really appreciate it if people could donate towards our fundraising efforts and share our justgiving page.

“Lets try to smash the target right out of the park and raise money for this incredible cause!”

David Reynolds, Executive Director of Sheffield Hospitals Charity, said: “For all of the difficulties that people are experiencing at the moment, we are seeing an incredible level of support for our hospitals and their staff from the people of Sheffield. So thank you to all seven of the guys who have taken part.

“If you can donate, then please do visit Ryan’s justgiving page. And if you want to take part in your own fundraising challenge, please do get in touch – we’d love to help.”
