Lucy Sauvage to Head up Tax Team at BDO in Sheffield

2nd June 2014

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO LLP has announced Lucy Sauvage as the new Head of Tax in Sheffield.

Lucy has worked at BDO for more than six years.  She previously worked at the firm's Manchester office, specialising in tax risk consultancy, and relocated to Sheffield 12 months ago. Her appointment as Head of Tax will see Lucy lead the team through its next stage of growth as it supports its expanding client base of mid market companies and ambitious businesses in Sheffield and across South Yorkshire. Lucy Sauvage commented: -I'm delighted to be taking on this new role, ensuring our clients get the very best advice from our team of talented people.  -With an ever-evolving tax system, effectively managing tax affairs is increasingly challenging for businesses. I want to ensure businesses are aware of the expertise and experience the tax team in Sheffield has.  We are here to guide and advise them on a whole range of tax issues from corporate tax and M&A structuring, to capital gains tax and VAT.  We also specialise in mitigating tax risk, as well as providing international advice. Craig Burton, partner and head of BDO in Sheffield, said: -Lucy's appointment is very well deserved. Our clients are in an increasingly strong position to take advantage of the opportunities a recovering market presents, and top notch tax advice is crucial to that.  -We want to continue to be at the very centre of clients' investment decisions, to advise them on the opportunities in both domestic and international markets and provide them with the very best service around. I know we have a great team in place that can do exactly that. BDO also provides specialist tax advice to high net worth individuals, including personal tax, inheritance tax and capital gains tax.  Across its Sheffield and Leeds office, the Yorkshire firm employs 200 people.
