SOUTH YORKSHIRE PENSIONS GROUP IN CONJUNCTION WITH SHEFFIELD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE are pleased to announced a new series of seminars aimed at DB Pension scheme trustees, Directors/ Senior management of companies with DB schemes and Pensions scheme advisers (DB sector).
The South Yorkshire Pensions Group is a newly formed organisation comprising pensions professionals and advisers servicing the South Yorkshire/ Sheffield City Region. The Group's objectives are to share knowledge, provide informed and relevant seminars to Trustees and companies in the pension schemes arena, as well as encouraging greater networking of pensions professionals and other contacts. This free seminar is our first in a series of planned events tackling the key issues affecting pensions schemes, presented in conjunction with Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, and includes a light breakfast. The event will set the scene on one of the major issues facing defined benefit schemes managing liabilities. With specialist speakers from the legal and actuarial sector and an economic update session from an investment management representative, the event will conclude with a Q&A panel of pensions specialists. The Group aims to then frame additional, more detailed, seminars and workshops, on future dates, tailored to scheme and companies' needs. This seminar will therefore involve interaction with attendees to ensure the Group provides the advice, knowledge and opinion on issues being faced in the pensions arena. There will be time for networking after the Q & A panel ends, until 11am.
