Master and Mistress Cutler get away with murder as they beat the clock!

7th July 2016

IT can be murder raising money for a good causeespecially when you're trying to beat the clock! Master and Mistress Cutler Craig and Karen McKay have set participants in their 2016 Master Cutler's Challenge a killer challenge to beat their time of 44 minutes and 20 seconds getting out of The Great Escape Game's Homicide Room.

The Great Escape Game Sheffield is a new live escape room experience blurring the lines between everyday life and the world of video games and movies. Participants are locked in a room with only 45 minutes to escape, with the key to freedom a series of intricate puzzles that test common sense, logic and friendship. Craig and Karen were joined by last year's Master and Mistress Cutler David and Ruth Grey in their bid to solve all the clues and make their bid for freedom. And now they want fellow Master Cutler's Challenge supporters to try the game for themselves. On July 18 and 25, The Great Escape Game invites Master Cutler's Challenge participants to play any of their rooms for the fundraising extravaganza! Any MCC participant will be entitled to a free game in return for a donation to the challenge equivalent to the time it takes them to complete the game at £1 per minute, with all MCC times recorded for a special MCC leader board. Those who do not escape, however, will have to pay the regular games price, plus a £10 loser's fine! Money raised will be going to the Master Cutler's Challenge chosen organisations, St Luke's Hospice in Sheffield and Rotherham Hospice. "It's great to be part of such an event and really see Sheffield pull together - we're all about bringing people together after all, said Great Escape Managing Director Hannah Duraid. -We spent a long time deliberating how we can add value to the Master Cutler's Challenge and in the end we thought we'd stick to our strengths and deliver businesses an even more competitive team-building challenge."
