Master Cutlers Challenge 2014Get involved!

1st July 2014

We are calling all businesses across Sheffield to join the fun and sign up to one of the regions largest fundraising events, the Master Cutler's Challenge.

So far we have had a variety of teams pledge to take part, and lots of creative and exciting ideas to raise funds are being explored. This is a fantastic opportunity to harness your creative skills, dare to try out those crazy ideas and use your business acumen to its full potential to make a real difference! The Sheffield Chamber registered their team before Christmas and are planning to engage with businesses, enlisting "choirs" across the city to compete in a sing off - Gareth Malone style! Kate Stephenson, Events Manager said: -We are delighted to be working alongside Chamber members 'Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir' as well as some other experienced volunteers who will be running the auditions at the businesses, training the choirs, rehearsing, and conducting at the performance night. We are looking for enthusiastic business people who can recruit people to be in their work choir! No experience necessary! Sheffield Chamber always competes in challenges, and support events raising money for the Master Cutlers Challenge charities. We thought 2014 should be our year, and so we have entered ourselves! This year, Master Cutler Tony Pedder OBE has chosen Whirlow Hall Farm Trust and Sheffield Hospitals Charity as beneficiaries of the challenge - with money raised for the hospitals charity going to the Jessop Wing neonatal intensive care unit and maternity hospital. The Master Cutlers Challenge provides some fantastic opportunities within your business; whether it is a team building exercise, real live training experiences or just some great PR you can use the Challenge to not only make a difference in your local community but make a difference in your work place! The challenge is being officially launched on Thursday 13 February at the Cutlers Hall, where teams who have registered will be invited to the free event. This event will give you a chance to network with other teams who have signed up for the Challenge, find out more about the charities involved, meet the Challenge sponsors Forgemasters and say hello to the Master Cutler himself, Tony Pedder OBE. Each team will also receive their £100 in cash to get started on the Challenge. Don't worry, if you register and are unable to attend the launch, we will endeavour to get your £100 to you after the event. So are you up for the Challenge? To take part visit www.mastercutlerschallenge2014.co.uk, email info@mastercutlerschallenge2014.co.uk or call Sarah at Whirlow Hall Farm Trust on 0114 235 2678
