Mattress Online signs new partnership with Rotherham United Football Club

22nd August 2022

Rotherham headquartered retailer Mattress Online has signed a new sponsorship with the Millers for the 2022/23 football season, further cementing its relationship with the South Yorkshire town.

Mattress Online was established in Rotherham almost 19 years ago, and has since become one of the fastest growing retailers and the largest stockist of mattresses in the UK.

CEO Steve Adams said: “Rotherham has been at the heart of Mattress Online from the early days and although our footprint has spread to other parts of the county, and region, we remain committed to the town in which the company has continued to thrive for nearly two decades.

“We employ many Millers fans so establishing this new partnership is a perfect fit. We look forward to following the team this season in the Championship.”

Mattress Online’s hattrick of next-day delivery, competitive pricing and mattress recycling has helped establish it as a market leader, employing over 75 people.

The company has recently increased both warehouse and retail space in South Yorkshire with a recent expansion at Waddington Way, and the opening of the first Mattress Online branded store in Alderson Road, Sheffield.

Steve continued: “Seeing our branding on the newly installed LED boards at the New York Stadium during the matches and connecting with the supporters through the Mattress Online Man of the Match Twitter poll each game is really exciting.”

Steve Coakley, Commercial Director at Rotherham United, said: “We’re thrilled for the opportunity to kick off the 2022/23 Sky Bet Championship campaign with a new partnership with Mattress Online.

“It has become very evident that the two organisations share very similar community focused values and we’re excited to see what further opportunities we can develop together over the coming months, and hopefully beyond.”
