Meet the experts behind the award-winning Altitude PR
5th August 2024
Over the past 12 months, Sheffield PR agency Altitude has picked up accolades at two of the PR industry’s most prestigious events - the CIPR Excellence Awards and the PRCA DARE Awards (Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East.)
Now with a team of six and a UK wide client base, Altitude has gone from strength to strength since it launched in 2022.
But who are the experts behind the PR success of some of Sheffield’s biggest businesses?

Jane Whitham - Director
Jane leads Altitude and has worked in senior PR roles for 15 years. Before making the switch to PR, Jane was a journalist writing for regional and national publications. Jane began planning Altitude PR in the summer of 2021 and launched the brand in February 2022.
Jane has a wealth of experience in PR and communications serving as Head of PR at two national charities, writing for national newspapers, as well as spending three years based at Sheffield Crown Court covering the region's biggest court cases which she describes as fascinating.
She now leads the PR brand and is an expert in strategy. She said:
“We get to unlock potential in ambitious businesses and help them grow. That's an enormous privilege. I love the variety in my role and the many different businesses, organisations and people we work alongside. I enjoy leading the Altitude team and building an energetic new brand.”
Victoria Adams, Marketing and Communications Manager, British Glass said:
“We had a great experience with Altitude. Their expertise was invaluable in explaining the principles of media handling, offering participants the tools and tactics to successfully navigate interviews with the media and offering advice on our own pressing needs. Everyone who attended came away from the session with the confidence they would need to feel comfortable facing the media going forward.”
Adam Reeves-Brown – PR & Comms Director
Having worked in PR in London, Adam relocated to Yorkshire. His campaign experience is broad and covers many sectors. Adam leads on client work in the built environment, and he manages the PR for the £470m Heart of the City regeneration in Sheffield City Centre.
After graduating with a degree in Media Studies and Journalism degree from Sheffield Hallam University, Adam has spent over 15 years working in media, communications and PR across London, Manchester and Sheffield.
He said:
“PR moves fast and the deadline-driven environment keeps me on my toes. No one day is the same. My 9-5 still races by, even after over fifteen years in the industry, and I've never stopped learning.”
A creative thinker and proficient copywriter, Adam has a strong understanding of several sectors, but particularly the built environment, regeneration, placemaking, retail and travel. He regularly sits as Altitude’s expert in property.
Victoria Holloway, former Marketing and Communications Director, Queensberry about Heart of the City.
“Having tried various strategies, we were looking for a different approach and we weren’t disappointed. It was easy to work with the team, who were flexible, approachable, and personable. A small, professional, and personable team, who are results focused and who genuinely want to help.”
Amy Lloyd – Senior Account Manager
Amy brings a wealth of experience to the team after more than eight years working in a variety of content and communications roles spanning waste, recycling, renewables, technology and more.
Amy graduated from university with a degree in German and Spanish before joining the PR industry, and has worked in all communications arenas, both in the UK and overseas.
She said:
“As a linguist, my love of language is deep-rooted. But it's not solely the words that make me tick. I love nothing more than getting under the skin of a brand and helping them to tell their unique stories — enabling them to communicate and connect authentically with their target audiences.”
Amy currently sits as Altitude’s industrial expert and loves getting stuck into the more niche and technical B2B clients. She currently works with Shawton Energy, Henry Boot Construction, and The Director’s Helpline.
Rachel Measures – Account Manager
Rachel has a degree in Media and a Masters in PR from Sheffield Hallam University. She’s worked in events and PR roles since leaving university, building valuable agency and in-house experience.
Rachel is a fundamental member of the Altitude team, collaborating with clients to create engaging PR campaigns. She was recently awarded Silver at the CIPR PRide Awards (Yorkshire, Lincolnshire and the North East) for Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year.
She said:
“I love working with a wide range of different businesses across a number of industries, gaining a wealth of experience working on each account. I love being able to help businesses shout about the great things they are doing, especially in the charity sector.”
As Altitude’s charity expert, Rachel helps PR not-for-profit clients, locally and nationally, including Alexandra Rose Charity, Breast Cancer UK, St Luke’s – Sheffield’s Hospice, Harmony Works, The Sheffield Cats Shelter and more.
Jonathan Pauling, CEO of Alexandra Rose Charity.
“Altitude were brilliant to work with and provided fantastic support from the planning stages to delivery and post-launch, achieving everything and more that we hoped and helping to raise the profile of our charity and work, not only nationally but internationally too.”
Max Haley – Senior Account Executive
Using skills developed during his Politics & Sociology degree, Max works with clients from a range of industries. He brings creativity and innovative thinking to all his projects.
He said:
“This is my first job in PR. My previous experience includes several hospitality jobs in both London and Sheffield. My most recent job before Altitude was as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in the SEND department at Bradfield School in Sheffield.”
Leaning into Max’s direct experience working in school settings means he’s first choice on our education client projects. He also has a lot of passion in the built environment area too. He’s worked for several education clients assisting with crisis comms, as well as working on the regeneration of Pennine Five, and placemaking schemes in Our Cultural Heart (Kirklees) and Heart of the City (Sheffield).
Ellie Fish – Marketing Manager
Ellie has been working as a journalist for the last five years. She’s worked across multiple sports but with a particular focus on motorsports, covering F1. While building her career, she also studied at the University of Sheffield and graduated last year with a degree in journalism studies.
It’s no surprise that Ellie is our motorsport expert. She now works exclusively for Altitude’s F4 client, Rowan Campbell-Pilling, as his full-time Marketing Manager.
She said:
“At Altitude, I get to be involved in something which I'm really passionate about and have tried to build into my career since I was a teenager.”
