Austin Fletcher is a professional construction consultancy business providing a range of services to its clients throughout the UK.

The Sheffield-based consultancy was set up in 2019 and has since grown to serve a wide range of clients across the UK.

Founder of Austin Fletcher, Wayne Fletcher, said: ‘We work predominantly in the built environment with individuals and organisations who need assistance with their development projects. We provide a wide range of core Project Delivery services such as Project Management, Cost Management and Contract Administration, along with several services under Health and Safety which include acting as the Principal Designer.’

‘We also work with existing businesses who require advice on the upkeep and management of their current assets and/or those who require the services of a Safety Adviser. We offer the latter on an annual appointment basis which is a popular option with our clients.’

‘It was always my intention to set up a flexible business that allowed us to operate remotely to ensure we offer the best service we can to our clients and this approach has proven to be advantageous throughout the covid-19 pandemic. Our operations have continued relatively unchanged, we have continued to serve our clients across the UK, albeit with some restrictions on face-to-face meetings and travel.’

Austin Fletcher is currently working on a number of development projects across the UK, some of which are located in and around Sheffield.

Wayne added: ‘One of the local projects that we are working on with one of our clients, is the refurbishment of 45-47 Fargate in Sheffield city centre which was previously occupied by the Next retail store. This is an exciting project for us to be involved with and a wonderful opportunity for any business looking to move into a newly refurbished city centre building in a prime location.’

‘Sheffield city centre is going through some welcomed change at the moment and Fargate, in my opinion, is the perfect setting for future hospitality sector investment’.

The refurbishment works are scheduled to commence in March 2021. Commenting on this Wayne added: ‘It is always nice to be involved in projects on buildings, or in areas, that hold some historical or emotional attachment to your past. Being from Sheffield myself, this is one such project. We can’t wait to see the finished product and are looking forward to working on some more of our local buildings in the future.’
