After launching in 2016, flexible car leasing firm Evogo recently reached the 10,000 vehicle milestone. Providing vehicle subscription and flexi rental solutions to customers across the UK.

The flexi rental concept was born out of a rebrand of Evolution Vehicle Contracts and now – as they say- the rest is history.

Director John Tustin said: “These types of agreement are designed to allow customers to drive the latest vehicle makes and models without the cost of ownership or the burden of a lengthy lease.

The flexibility of the scheme allows customers to hand their vehicle back after an initial short period of use without penalty, they can also down grade or upgrade at any point to a vehicle that may better suite their needs.  Servicing, maintenance and breakdown cover are all included within the subscription price.”

All the vehicles supplied are brand new and Evogo work with a wide variety of  manufacturers to enable them to provide a huge range of vehicles from small city runabouts to larger executive cars.

Initially located in Chesterfield Evogo’s rapid expansion meant they quickly moved to their current Head Office on Upwell Street, Sheffield. Originally part of Sheffield Forgemasters, the 65,000 foot warehouse and office is ideally located for customer access.  In 2017 they opened a second location in Houghton Regis, Bedfordshire to help improve logistic and assist with growth plans.

Recently Evogo have seen a large uptake in demand for Hybrid / Electric vehicles as well as Light Commercial Vans.

“During Lockdown, the flexibility of the Evogo Scheme allowed customers to off hire vehicles as their requirements changed through furlough or working more from home without any cost or penalty’s” John explained, “However, we also saw a large increase in commercial vehicle requirements.

“As online shopping increased, the demand for home deliveries increased and Evogo were best placed to be able to supply flexible contracts on commercial vehicles to companies who did not want to commit to purchasing or taking out longer term lease agreements.”

“Future developments for Evogo include increasing the size of our Electric Vehicle Fleet” John said.

 “Currently EV’s carry a significant premium over the equivalent petrol and diesel vehicles, and some customers are unsure about whether an EV will work for them, so there is a reluctance to spend the extra money on buying outright or taking out a long-term lease.

“Evogo is an ideal way for those people to sample electric vehicles and work out whether the current offering of EV’s is suitable for their needs.”
