Mercury ensure children enjoy all the fun of the Whirlow Hall Farm Christmas Fayre

25th November 2013

Mercury Taxis are the sole sponsor for the Whirlow Hall Farm Trust Christmas Fayre- which for the first time this year, is over a whole weekend of festivity 23 to 24 November.

The top taxi firm's sponsorship means children can enter the Christmas Fayre completely free of charge. Dermot Griffiths, Mercury's general manager, said, -We are delighted to support Whirlow's annual Christmas Fayre; I come to this magical event every year and it always gets me in the Christmas spirit. With five children themselves and one of the only family-run taxi companies in the UK, Mercury's owners are also big supporters of the '480 Club' at Whirlow which enables children from some of Sheffield's most disadvantaged areas to visit the farm. Drivers and staff alike are all proud to support such a worthy local cause. Fayre visitors can tick off their Christmas shopping by purchasing that unusual gift that can't be found on the high street, ordering their high welfare turkey and picking out their real Christmas tree. Children will be looking forward to a visit to Father Christmas in the traditional farmhouse with open log fire. Adults may be tucking in to Whirlow's popular hot roast pork sandwiches with stuffing & crackling, finished off with a warm mince pie and mulled wine while listening to some live Christmas carols to get into the Christmas spirit. The fayre is THIS Saturday and Sunday 23-24 November, open 10am to 3pm. Adults £3.50, children FREE All funds raised go to Whirlow Hall Farm Trust. www.MercuryTaxis.com
