Mosborough Hall Hotel is to re-open Whirlowbrook Hall

Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel is to re-open Whirlowbrook Hall after signing a 25 year lease with Sheffield City Council.

Whirlowbrook Hall, a wedding and events venue that is located in Sheffield's S11, closed in October 2012. The Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel in Sheffield's S20, plan to open Whirlowbrook Hall in May 2013. Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel have established the property as one of Sheffield's leading hotels and a very popular wedding venue. The opportunity to lease Whirlowbrook Hall fits perfectly with the company's expansion plans. Greg Dyke, owner of Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel, said -I am very excited to be involved with the re-opening of Whirlowbrook Hall; it is a stunning venue. We have built a very successful wedding and events led business at Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel and we are keen to do the same at Whirlowbrook Hall Whirlowbrook Hall is a stone built former country house, located within the council owned Whirlowbrook Park. Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel plan to operate the venue as a wedding and events business from May 2013. The Hall is also planned to be open to the public for a number of events throughout the year. We are also looking forward to providing the community with a more accessible venue, with many opportunities to use the Hall throughout the year. Whirlowbrook Hall is to re-open on the 4th May with a garden party. The café within Whirlowbrook Park was closed in October 2012, Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel have agreed with Sheffield City Council to work together to provide a new café located within the park. It is hoped that the new café will be open to the public by summer 2014. Garin Davies director of Longrose Buccleuch said -Having been a customer of Whirlowbrook park café, since my grandparents took me when I was just 6 years old, I am delighted that we have agreed a solution for the café. We shall endeavour to ensure this provides a good facility for users of the park Whilst working on the café, Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel plan to open the hall on a number of weekends this summer for afternoon tea. Cllr Isobel Bowler said 'It's great news for the people of Sheffield that this unique facility will re-open for events and once again play its part in this wonderful public park. The proposed community events will also bring a new dimension to the hall and attract even more people to enjoy the park. I'm also really pleased that for the first time, the operator is offering a dedicated café operation which won't have to compete with events and that whilst this is being developed, Best Western Plus Mosborough Hall Hotel will offer a summer refreshments service starting this year.
