Mosdorfer Rail - Big Bike to Work Challenge Raising Funds for RBF Charity
Lee Brun (Engineering Director) and Stuart Woodsell (Business Development Manager) are based in Somerset and this weekend are going to take on the ‘Big Bike to Work’ challenge to raise funds for the Railway Benefit Fund charity. They will be cycling 240 miles from their home offices in Somerset to our work office/factory in Sheffield, starting on Saturday 29th June and finishing on Monday 1st July. They are planning to visit a number of Railway stations, depots and companies on route in order to raise awareness of the work of the Railway Benefit Fund.
They should arrive in Sheffield around 2-3pm on Monday 1st July (to be confirmed during the day)
Pete Waterman OBE is the Charity President for RBF and will be here at Mosdorfer Rail in Sheffield on Monday to welcome Lee and Stuart on arrival on completion of the challenge.
The Railway Benefit Fund, also known as RBF, is a charity that provides support to current, former and retired railway staff and their dependents across the UK. They have been there for railway people since 1858 and today, thanks to the generosity of their supporters, are able to offer help to those who need them. From financial grants and confidential advice to online tools and a legal helpline, they provide a range of services designed to provide support through life’s unexpected events. Their assistance is available to anyone working, or who has worked, in the railway, including passenger, freight, infrastructure, supply chain and ancillary services. They are not a membership organisation and rely solely on fundraising and donations so that they are able to continue to support the Railway Family.
A JustGiving page has been set up for donations- Stuart Woodsell is fundraising for Railway Benefit Fund (justgiving.com)
