Mountain Challenge for New Chamber Member

16th July 2018

New Chamber member, Pete Everitt has some big mountains in his sights as he sets off on an epic bike ride with his friends, affectionately known as the 'Fat Lads from Dore' in aid of charity! Pete, Director of Sheffield-based SO Digital Communications, is going to take part in the gruelling Paris to Geneva bike ride in July 2018 in aid of Sheffield Children's Hospital.

The route is a 360-mile challenge over four days and takes in a few 'small' hills the Jura Mountains. The ride is a continuation of their 2015 challenge where Pete and the Fat Lads cycled from London to Paris raising an astonishing £40,000 in the process, to build a state of the art patient and family room in the new wing of the Sheffield Children's Hospital. Pete Everitt says, -Since our epic journey in 2015, not only have our waistlines expanded but so has our team. We started as a group of five and are now a group of nine dads who are powered by real ale and pork pies. We aren't anything extraordinary at the end of the day, we are just a handful of dads trying to make a difference. They have set a goal of raising £50,000 for this well-loved Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity, and they have encountered tremendous support so far. You can boost their morale, and vital charity funds by donating money via their justgiving page: flfd.co.uk/donate Thank you for your support.
