National Newsreader & Author Joins Local Charity During Pandemic Struggle
27th January 2021
The Eden Dora Trust for Children with Encephalitis is a Sheffield-based charity set up by a local mum to support children and families across the UK affected by Childhood Encephalitis and Acquired Brain Injuries.
Recently, they were thrilled to announce that Emily Maitlis – a nationally-regarded journalist and lead news anchor – had joined their team as an official Ambassador. Emily’s testimonial reads that she is “proud to support the terrific work of The Eden Dora Trust – providing invaluable help for children and families…at a time when all families need maximum support, care, and understanding”.
Releasing the news of their newest supporter, The Eden Dora Trust said “Emily is an incredible, inspiring woman, and we are overjoyed to welcome to her to team EDT. As the effects of the pandemic continue, our charity is struggling more than ever before to raise enough funds to continue our extensive support of the children and families who rely on us most. As the new year gets under way, we have come to rely even more on our incredible supporters, as they continue to raise funds and awareness in COVID-safe ways. We are always welcoming new supporters to get involved, whether as an individual or a business, so please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have any ideas how you or your business could help us to continue being a lifeline for so many. Thank you.”
