28th April 2025
Naylor Agility was proud to support Bark In The Park, a vibrant dog-friendly charity event held on Saturday, April 6th, at the stunning Thornbridge Hall in Bakewell, DE45 1NZ.
The event, which ran from 11am to 3pm under sunny skies, brought together dog lovers from Sheffield, Staffordshire, and surrounding areas for a day packed with fun, learning, and fundraising.
Organised by final year Event Management students, Maisie, Jess and Cerys at Sheffield Hallam University, Bark In The Park aimed to raise awareness and funds for two incredible causes — St Luke’s Sheffield Hospice and Ella’s, The students successfully delivered a fun-filled, community-driven event that ultimately raised an outstanding £3,664.07.
Naylor Agility was delighted to host a “Have-a-Go” Agility Ring, giving both dogs and their handlers the chance to experience the excitement of agility in a relaxed, supportive setting, where over 80 pooches and owners gave it a go!
The ring was buzzing all day and Naylor Agility were delighted to host some competitions; Fastest Dog and Least Obedient Dog with over 25 participants joining in on the fun competitions, it certainly brought out the best in the dogs — and plenty of smiles from their humans too!
Big thanks to Victoria Backhouse and Oreo too who gave some amazing demos – they have been in the agility world for two and a half years – I think we can safely save Oreo loves going through the agility tunnels too, blink and you missed him!
“Naylor Agility were absolutely thrilled to have been part of such a successful and fun event – it really was great to see so many cute pooches taking part in agility - majority of which was for the first time. Huge congratulations to Maisie, Jess and Cerys for their incredible work and amazing amount raised. It was a great end to the day to see our very own Kaden and his dog Wisp win "The Bark in the Park Winner" awarded by Cerys” commented Naylor Agility Business Manager, Helen Jowitt who attended the event.
