Naylor Agility Supports PATnic Event

25th September 2023

Naylor Agility are proud to have recently supported a Pets As Therapy, PATnic Event at Hortzbullz Hound Haven Dog Play Park at Silkstone. It was a great opportunity for dogs of all abilities to come together and have some fun!

There were agility tunnels and padding pools for the dogs to enjoy, a raffle with some great prizes, treats for the dogs and cupcakes for humans with all proceeds raised going to the Pets As Therapy Charity – Naylor Agility and Hortzbullz Hound Haven were delighted to raise £255.

Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a national charity that enhances the health and wellbeing of thousands of people in communities across the UK and this year are celebrating 40 years. They strive to ensure that everyone, no matter their circumstances, has access to the companionship of an animal.

Raising funds at events like this will help the charity enormously in many ways: Therapeutic visits by PAT Teams can bring comfort and companionship to people who may feel isolated, confused or lonely. They help young people to improve their literacy skills and encourage confidence and concentration in the classroom. Visits also aid a patient’s recovery and rehabilitation and help improve mental health and wellbeing, by raising £3 a volunteer can make 1 PAT visit, £6 pays for 2 PAT visits, £30 pays for 10 PAT visits, £120 pays for 40 PAT visits.
