Naylor Industries and BMBC Public Health and Communities Directorate Team Up to Offer free blood pressure check to employees.

Naylor Industries and Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council's (BMBC) Public Health and Communities Directorate have recently teamed up to offer blood pressure checks to employees at Naylor’s Cawthorne, Wombwell, and Barugh Green sites. The initiative is part of a wider effort by both organizations to promote good health and well-being among their employees.

High blood pressure is a major risk factor for heart disease, stroke, and other chronic conditions. It is often asymptomatic, meaning that people may not know they have it until they experience serious health problems. That is why regular blood pressure checks are important.

Public Health Support Worker at BMBC, Louise Hunt commented “We are delighted to be working with Naylor Industries to offer blood pressure checks to their employees.  High blood pressure is a silent killer, but it is preventable. By making it easy for employees to get their blood pressure checked, we can help them to identify and manage this risk factor early on." We’ve already had some great feedback from those we saw and look forward to working with Naylor again in future.

"We are committed to the health and well-being of our employees," said Edward Naylor, CEO of Naylor Industries. "We believe that this initiative is a valuable way to help our employees identify and manage their risk of high blood pressure."
