Naylor launches Carbon Footprint Guides for Merchants & Contractors

30th January 2023

Naylor Industries is launching ‘Carbon Footprint – Manufacture’ Guides to help contractors and merchants compare the carbon footprint of its products against those produced by other manufacturers.

Being introduced following the launch of Naylor’s first Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) which provide detailed cradle-to-grave carbon footprints for products, the new guides will instead provide cradle-to-gate data.

Helen MacIntosh, Technical Development Director of Naylor Industries Plc, comments: “We are committed to helping the industry reduce carbon emissions and to providing our customers with the information they need to make informed specification decisions. While EPDs provide a thorough cradle-to-grave carbon impact assessment and are of particular value to specifiers working on BREEAM projects, we recognise that for comparison purposes contractors and merchants require data which covers carbon emissions only up to the point where a product leaves a manufacturing facility. We are now developing Carbon Footprint – Manufacture Guides as well as EPDs for all Naylor products.”

Product EPDs and Carbon Footprint – Manufacture Guides can be downloaded from the Naylor website - https://www.naylor.co.uk/download-libary  - as they become available.
