Networking After Hours, Kelham Island Museum
19th August 2012
If you are seeking a unique and stimulating venue for your event then look no further than Sheffield Industrial Museums.
Telling the story of Sheffield by focusing on the industries and people that made Sheffield the city it is today, there can be no more inspiring location for you to choose. Kelham Island Museum can be hired for evening receptions and dining, social occasions, conferences and meetings. Located in one of the city's oldest industrial districts, the Museum stands on a man-made island which is over 900 years old. Built in the 1890s the building was originally an electricity generating station powering the original tram system. Now home to the mighty 12 000 horse power River Don engine, the galleries and exhibitions explore life and work in Sheffield during the Industrial Revolution, through the Victorian Era and two world wars and show how steelmaking forged both the City and the world! With the River Don running down one side and the man made goit (mill stream) on the other, there is no comparable location. Networking after hours events aim to provide the opportunity to relax in informal surroundings and network with a variety of business people. The events have developed a strong following and are aimed at business people who want to: • Be recognised, remembered and referred • Unwind and relax in an informal atmosphere with like minded business people • Meet new business leads, customers, contacts and clients, • Exchange ideas and experiences with others • Meet potential service providers • Join owners or decision makers from many other businesses to gain knowledge, expertise and contacts As people struggle to find time to meet new people these events are conveniently scheduled at the end of the working day. There is no agenda, registration begins at 5.30pm, where attendees receive a delegate list and name badge and are free to networking until 7.30pm.
