Passionate about animal welfare? Can you design and deliver business strategies through inspiring, influencing and motivating high performing teams?

13th August 2018

Job opportunity: Operations Director at RSPCA Sheffield RSPCA Sheffield needs someone with vision, drive and a passion for animals to grow and future proof our charity.

You'll need the tenacity of a terrier, the work-ethic of a border collie, the charisma of a Siamese cat and the speed of a greyhound. Sound familiar? RSPCA Sheffield is an independently registered charity. We care for and rehabilitate animals who have been abused and abandoned, rehoming around 1000 animals each year. We are the largest local RSPCA in the UK and we are very proud of our reputation for animal welfare and the way that we operate our charity through a mix of pragmatism, innovation and good sense. The Operations Director will be responsible for the entirety of the Branch's work including animal rescue and re-homing from our purpose built Animal Centre; retail outlets to generate income; income generation through grants, legacies, business sponsorship and fundraising; and the staff and volunteers who make things happen. The role reports directly to the Board of Trustees and will include overall responsibility for c.40 staff, numerous volunteers, over 100 animals, a welfare and neutering clinic and several retail outlets. Working hours are based on a weekly shift system averaging 40 hours over 5 working days per week and you will need to be flexible to outside office hours at times and cover all of our locations in Sheffield with occasional travel elsewhere. This is a permanent position and we think that the role requires full time attention but would be open to discussing alternatives with the right candidate. For more information click here. Please note that the deadline for applications is 6th September 2018.
