Penny Hydraulics Launch Goods Lift Configurator

5th October 2018

The new free-to-use online Goods Lift Configurator is designed to make the specification and buying process of a goods lift easy, improving the customer experience.

Chesterfield, Derbyshire: UK lifting equipment manufacturer Penny Hydraulics Ltd are proud to announce the launch of the Goods Lift Configurator. [G1] The free-to-use online tool, accessible from the Penny Hydraulics website, enables users to specify and request a quotation for the correct lifting solution from an extensive range of Mezzanine floor lifts, CellarLifts and BayLifts. [G2] This is not the first time Penny Hydraulics have created a solution to improve the customer experience. In April 2018, we launched the Crane Configurator, which has successfully helped over 100 people to specify their appropriate lifting solution. Daniel Casey, Marketing Manager of Penny Hydraulics outlined the importance of the Configurator: -Our goal is to improve the customer experience by removing the barriers that stop people from specifying a lifting solution. By simplifying the process we are seeing new customer enquiries as well as existing b2b partners specifying cranes to their customers without the need of assistance. It is this simplicity and instant access to information that is key in this digital era." How does it work? After a simple one-time login users are asked a sequence of basic questions based on their requirements. These questions break down the specification of a Goods Lift to a basic level, so anyone can understand. For example the user is asked what type of goods they need to move between floors, the rough weight of the items, and how far they need the items to move. The Configurator then uses this data and instantly suggests the correct lifting solution as well as options to view images, find out more (including specification sheets), request a quotation or request a call back to discuss their options further. Should the Configurator user request a quotation or a callback, their details will digitally be sent to [G5] the relevant Area Sales Manager in real-time, who can then provide the relevant price and availability to the user. Richard Short, Sales Director of Penny Hydraulics has been the driving force behind the project: -Building on the successful model that we introduced earlier this year for the Crane Configurator, I believe that we will increase both interest and enquiries for our range of Goods Lifts. It is important to be innovative and to stand out in an increasingly competitive marketplace, we believe that the Configurator gives us the tools to achieve this." To utilise the configurator, interested parties should visit the Penny Hydraulics website and click on the 'Configurator' link accessible from the main menu.
