Penny Hydraulics Rebrands as Penny Engineering Limited

5th June 2024

Effective July 1st, 2024, we will officially operate under the name Penny Engineering Limited, alongside our website, social media platforms, and email domains. There is no change to bank details or ownership.

Historical Background and Evolution:
Established in 1978 by our founder, John Penny Senior, Penny Hydraulics originally focused on the service and manufacture of hydraulic roof supports for the coal mining sector. This work demanded a wide range of engineering expertise that was the key to our innovation and diversification to expand rather than decline as the coal mining industry wound down.

Diverse Portfolio and Leadership:
Today, the company is led by the founder’s sons and, while hydraulic engineering remains a vital part of our operations, it represents just 15 of our diverse portfolio. Our capabilities now extend across a wide spectrum of engineering solutions including, goods lifts, cranes to load vehicles, multi-directional forklift trucks, lighting winch systems, nuclear decommissioning equipment, and much more.

Reflecting Growth and Capabilities:
In response to these advancements and to better reflect our expanded range of services, the Board decided to rebrand the company as Penny Engineering Limited. By adopting the new name, we aim to highlight our comprehensive engineering capabilities and attract a broader client base seeking innovative solutions.

Transition Details:
Effective July 1st, 2024, we will officially operate under the name Penny Engineering Limited, alongside our website, social media platforms, and email domains. There is no change to bank details or ownership.

We reiterate that our commitment to providing a fair and transparent service, including guaranteed fixed pricing, no hidden fees, free site surveys, and sustainable practices will remain steadfast as we begin this new era.

We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all customers and suppliers, and as the transition date approaches, we will provide regular updates and reminders to facilitate a seamless process.
