Property and health & safety platform Crysp secures investment from Sheffield-based business accelerator TwinklHive

1st July 2021

Crysp, an online property and health & safety platform, has secured a significant investment from the business accelerator TwinklHive, as a result of a successful investment round.

The platform helps organisations to manage their property compliance and health & safety digitally. It provides solutions to tackle several problems, including companies wasting time locating mislaid documents.

Prior to establishing Crysp in December 2019, founding director Stuart Harlow had spent over 30 years working within private and public organisations supporting workplaces with compliance challenges. One of the key observations for Stuart and Pete, fellow founder, was that information is often contained within separate systems and software products, team members, and paper based documents. Crysp provides a solution to this, as everything is organised in one place on the platform, providing a real-time picture of an organisation's compliance life cycle.

Crysp has received a strategic investment from TwinklHive, an accelerator launched by the global digital educational platform, Twinkl, a company which has over 900 team members and 10.8 million sign-ups to its website worldwide.  TwinklHive was created to support entrepreneurs and businesses that are mission-led and have been established to innovate and disrupt the technology sector in order to make a difference to others.

Jonathan Seaton, Founder, and Director of TwinklHive, said: “Fundamentally, property compliance and health & safety is about keeping people safe and well - and Stuart and Pete have highlighted the space as an area for radical disruption. Their desire and drive to shake up the sector makes them a great fit for investment from TwinklHive and we are thrilled to be supporting Crysp in their journey of growth.”

Stuart Harlow, Founding Director of Crysp, said: "Our plan has always been to quickly scale and challenge a market of incumbents who overcharge, provide poor service and lack the technical ability to give clients an end to end digital and physical solution that will transform the way property and other health & safety issues are managed in the workplace."

Pete Mills, Founding Director of Crysp, said:  " Jonathan and his team at Twinkl share the same values and care for the customer as we do. The synergy alignment was key but also the experiences that Twinkl have faced and overcome in the last ten years allows the Crysp business to tap into invaluable expertise as we grow. We will always remain customer focused but we know our services can support organisations throughout the UK and beyond.”

Crysp works with a whole range of clients, including offices, schools, clinics and manufacturers, and the investment will allow for an increase in capabilities,  both from a personnel and technology perspective, as the business begins to grow out of the pandemic.

If you are interested in finding out more about how Crysp can help your organisation, the customer team is holding an event next month.
