Proximity appoints The SEO Works to take them closer to organic visibility goals

7th September 2023

The multi-award-winning digital agency The SEO Works have been chosen to lead the SEO strategy for retail technology company Proximity, home of the award-winning Retail Super-App.

Designed to transform how engagements between customers and brands happen within the digital world, Proximity has created an all-in-one app that allows retailers to interact with potential customers along every step of the buying process. By giving brands the ability to provide customers with an extremely high and personalised level of customer service, the app aims to increase customer retention and lifetime value.

In order to reach the heights of success that Proximity has met so far, they have had to ensure that they never stood still. This need to constantly evolve and grow manifested in a complete rebrand and brand-new website towards the end of 2022. With slick design and powerful branding, the website included everything that was required by Proximity - but the ability to get it in front of the right audiences and push it further organically was something that they felt still needed specialist attention.

This desire to further increase their online presence led Proximity to enquire with Sheffield-based agency The SEO Works, for assistance with their SEO efforts. Upon receiving the enquiry, the award-winning SEO team carried out an extensive audit of the new website and identified that although it had a fantastic user experience and a slick design, there were crucial areas of SEO compliance that needed improvement.

Impressed by the detail demonstrated in the audit, as well as a competitive pitch process, Proximity felt that it would be optimal for the development of their organic visibility if they partnered with The SEO Works.

“Following our rebrand and new website launch, we’re excited to partner with The SEO Works who share our vision for digital success and will turbocharge our online visibility. This partnership is a testament to our commitment to excellence, and we look forward to the exciting growth and achievements that lie ahead.”

said Lucy Lefroy, Head of Marketing at Proximity.

As a company who haven’t partnered with an SEO agency previously, this campaign would require the digital agency to work from the ground up. Beginning with laying technical groundwork,  such as compliance with Google Core Web Vitals guidelines, the SEO team would then begin to build an array of rich content - all helping to contribute towards the end goal of improving search visibility for Proximity.

“The opportunity to play a part in the growth of an exciting company such as Proximity is one that we will truly relish here. Helping companies stand out from the competition within the search engine results is what we do best, and working with an almost new website really allows optimal implementation of our award-winning approach. The collaboration between ourselves and Proximity has been nothing but great so far and is something we hope only goes from strength to strength as this campaign kicks on. This is a really exciting campaign for us and I know for a fact that the team can’t wait to get going!”

said Alex Hill, Sales Director of The SEO Works.

The SEO Works specialises in SEO, PPC, Digital PR, Web and Paid Social advertising and has worked with many clients within the software sector, including Framer, Dot Digital, Force, Agilio Software and 3Squared.
