Impact Communication agency, Purple Banana opens new office in Sheffield

We’re Purple Banana, an impact communications agency specialising in impact reports, visual branding and websites for brands that give a sh*t about their wider purpose as a brand. Founded in 2021 by Managing Director, Charles Sladdin, we’re the only UK agency (we know of!) to focus solely on impact communications for brands who want to talk about their positive change the right way.

As an agency, we’ve changed a fair amount since our founder Charles, switched from the solo life of a sole trader to setting up Purple Banana in the summer of 2021. From narrowing down what we do as a team, alongside who we truly want to work with, one factor that hasn’t changed has been the shared commitment and determination as a team to drive positive change, performance and purpose for brands. With a shared background that incorporates third sector, public sector and private experience, our team are well-versed in helping brands from all walks of communicate their impact in an authentic, relevant and engaging way.

To do this, we spend our days crafting bespoke impact reports to credibly communicate positive change; awe-inspiring visual brand identities to rally communities and inspire fans and websites to help galvanise engagement and spread the word for a variety of partners. Over the years we’ve been lucky enough to work with some great names - but we’re not here to roll out a creds deck. Our one and only focus is supporting you to tell your purpose and impact story the right way.

When we’re not supporting our partners, we’re working on one of our side projects - like our Campaigns For Good initiative - because impact starts at home, and we’re here to practice what we preach.

So why Sheffield, and why now?

Since incorporation, we’ve always had an element of remote working as an agency. Motivated by the ‘C’ word that erupted across the world a few years ago, we became a 100% remote agency in September 2022.

But every agency needs a home, and when our MD, Charles, moved to Sheffield from London it presented the perfect opportunity to open a new location and move our main office.

“We’re proud to now call Sheffield home. In only six months, the Purple Banana community has been bolstered by an amazing network of brands and innovators we have met and we’re so excited to see what else Sheffield has to offer. (Charles Sladdin, Managing Director)”

What now?

With our roots firmly established, we’re looking forward to growing our community. We’re already delighted to be co-hosting Sheffield’s first series of sustainability-focussed networking events - People, Planet, Pint - in collaboration with Small 99 and B&B Press, and we’ve got even more planned. Keep your eyes peeled for an exciting announcement later this month about another exciting event we have planned for July 2023.

In the meantime…?

Feel free to reach out to our Managing Director, Charles, on LinkedIn. He’ll also be out and about at the Chamber’s networking events, so feel free to catch him then.
