8th February 2017

THE designers of the new St Luke's Hospice In Patient Centre have won a major award.

More than 500 representatives from the NHS and healthcare industry came together in London to celebrate the best in British healthcare at the 18th annual Building Better Healthcare Awards. The awards celebrate innovation and improvement in the built environment and best practise in the delivery of facilities management services, with 190 entries across 26 categories. And the award for Best Internal Environment Winner went to Sheffield's Race Cottam Architects for their work on the St Luke's In Patient Centre. -We are delighted that Race Cottam's fantastic work on providing us with the facilities we needed to take us into the 21st century has been recognised at a national level, said St Luke's Chief Executive Peter Hartland. -We now have a world class centre for the support of our patients, a fact that was recently reflected by the Care Quality Commission rating our levels of care as outstanding.
