Rare Insight Recognised by National Awards Scheme

31st July 2012

Sheffield based agency Rare Creative Group has been nominated as finalist in the national B2B Marketing Awards in the category of Best Use of Customer Insight.

The nationwide B2B Marketing Awards, which have been running for seven years and are owned and operated by B2B Marketing, are designed to recognise excellence in the field of B2B marketing. Previous winners include brands such as Google, Lloyds TSB and British Gas. Rare received the nomination for its campaign to promote Planitherm energy efficient window glass for large construction manufacturer Saint-Gobain Glass. The nomination in Best Use of Customer Insight recognises the strategic development of the integrated campaign that Rare has created for Planitherm glass - from market research and strategy formulation through to creative concepts and communications planning. Planitherm glass is the most energy efficient glass on the market, reducing heat loss by 50% and cutting homeowners energy bills by up to 28%. Across its campaign Rare Creative Group has reached a trade and consumer audience of over 100 million and the campaign has included TV ads, radio ads, PR and print advertising. The medium sized Sheffield based agency employing just 15 members of staff will be battling against campaigns created for some of the UK's largest organisations such as British Gas and Cable & Wireless in the finals. The winners will be announced at an elaborate award ceremony due to be held at The Honourable Artillery Company in The City of London on 22 November 2012. The Planitherm campaign has already won the G11 Award for best promotional campaign within the glass industry and was a finalist in The Drum Marketing Awards in the category of Best New Product/Service Launch Strategy of The Year. Steve Bellingham, managing director at Rare Creative Group in Sheffield commented: It's a real honour for us to receive a nomination in the prestigious B2B Marketing Awards. We've worked very hard on the Planitherm glass campaign and this nomination is a testament to the excellent collection of skills here on the campaign team. We are very excited at the prospect of winning this award.
