Robson appoints new CEO

Robson, award-winning Sheffield based handling technology company further strengthens its Board and Executive leadership team with the appointment of Jeff Hudson as Chief Executive Officer.

With Jeff's appointment, this brings to four the new senior appointments including Bill Speirs as Chairman, Julian Bestwick as Finance Director, and Abby Young as Company Secretary. Jeff brings with him a wealth of experience in the international B2B capital projects environments having previously held senior leadership roles as European Director with Clyde Bergemann Power Group and latterly President EMEA and Global Strategy for the NASDAQ quoted company, CECO Environmental Corporation. Jeff said -I was attracted to join Robson as it has a very strong brand, great products and extensive client base. It also has a professional Board and Shareholders that have an aspiration for growth, underpinned by a substantial commitment to investment in the company, its employees and infrastructure. I am delighted to be appointed to this key role and together with the Board, we are committed to building upon the heritage of the Robson brand. The appointment of Jeff comes at a time when Robson is showing healthy growth, with orders secured in the first six months of the year totalling £11m. On Jeff's appointment, Bill Speirs, Chairman of Robson said: -Jeff has experience in a multitude of industries including Mining, Process, Power Oil & Gas and Chemical, which is second to none. He has a proven track record of success in project management, strategic re-alignment and delivering shareholder value. Jeff is perfectly placed to complement the Board and provide effective leadership to the Executive Team to further develop our position within the market.
