RR on track to shred 2016 fundraising target

2nd August 2016

In just six months, a staggering £1991.

27 has been donated by the generous people of Sheffield who use Russell Richardson's charity shredding service. With the totals now in for the first half of 2016, Russell Richardson look set to smash their original fundraising target of £3000 for the year. Benefiting from the donations are the four charities chosen by the confidential shredding and archiving company to be the beneficiaries for 2016. This year, the charities are: Macmillan Cancer Support, Sheffield Children's Hospital Charity, Help for Heroes and St Luke's Hospice. While the charities benefit financially from the shredding service provided by Russell Richardson, the local community benefits from the convenience and reassurance of knowing that they can simply drop off bags and boxes of confidential waste for securely shredding in return for a charity donation. -We get some great feedback from the charity shredding service we provide, said Jonathan Richardson, Managing Director at Russell Richardson. -People are very generous and the amount we have raised this year shows the value people place on the service and protecting their identity. It's certainly been our busiest year yet for individuals bringing in their personal documents for shredding as the public become more aware of protecting their identity and the dangers of identity fraud. Individuals are invited to bring in bags or boxes of documents for confidential shredding and recycling to Russell Richardson's secure site on Clay Street in Attercliffe, Sheffield during usual office hours. Documents can be left in files and paperclips, staples and fastenings do not need to be removed. Items are usually shredded immediately and can be witnessed on the CCTV screen in reception, or from the warehouse door. Donations can be made in cash, in the collection boxes on site, or via the Just Giving pages on the Russell Richardson website. Please note that Russell Richardson do not issue certificates of destruction for this service and a small admin charge will be applicable if certification is required. For further information, please contact the Russell Richardson team on 0800 294 6552.
