RuggerEds breaks the 1,000 children per week barrier !

20th August 2014

RuggerEds was established in May 2011 by Glyn Chandler, Sandra Chandler and Dean Mabson, who are the Directors and investors in the business, who collectively identified a gap in the market for the provision of rugby coaching for younger children across the UK.

RuggerEds developed its systems and procedures to create the UK's 1st Educationally based Rugby programme specifically designed initially for 3 9 year olds. Through the programme it actively promotes to each child the Core Values of Good Manners, Respect, Communication, Teamwork and Fair Play these form the company's ethos. The sessions are delivered into schools, clubs and Camps by a professional team of vetted and experienced, qualified Sports Coaches After establishing the Sheffield operation, the Directors established a robust but user friendly -Franchise model to expand the business UK and Worldwide it is very interested to talk to anyone who has a genuine interest in working with children and potentially wants to come on board and join the RuggerEds team. Currently its geographical spread includes across the Sheffield City Region, South Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire and South Manchester/Cheshire. Locally it works closely with Titans Rugby, Sheffield, Tigers, Dronfield, Stocksbridge, Wortley and Barnsley Rugby Clubs It has created over 50 new positions both full and part time since its inception, and has established a strong link with both Sheffield Universities, taking a regular number of students on placement with a view to full time careers once they have graduated. As part of its planned expansion programme it has also established sister companies in SoccerEds and recently NetballEds see website for further info, details of the sessions and a background to all 3 brands see www.ruggereds.co.uk Commented Glyn Chandler -we recently joined the Sheffield Chamber and the support that we have received from Julie and the team has been fantastic and we are a local business creating employment opportunities across the Sheffield City Region For more information see website or contact Glyn on office number 01142 745997
