SCCCC takes on the Big Give Christmas Challenge

24th November 2022

For the first time, SCCCC is taking part in the UK's biggest online match funding campaign, the Big Give Christmas Challenge and we need your help.

For the first time, SCCCC is taking part in the UK's biggest online match funding campaign, the Big Give Christmas Challenge and we need your help.

The campaign helps UK-registered charities to raise vital funds for their projects by doubling donations received when the campaign goes live on 29th November.

We're hoping to raise vital funds to recruit more befriending volunteers for our Good Neighbour friendly visiting scheme, as sadly we currently have over 150 isolated, older people on our waiting list. All are waiting for a volunteer who can spend just an hour a week to visit them in their own home for a cuppa and a chat.

The campaign runs for 1 week between 29th Nov - 6th Dec. It launches at Midday on Tuesday 29th November for 1 week only. We're hoping to raise £3,000 in the public phase.

Any donation can be as little as £1 or whatever you can afford but remember, your donation will be DOUBLED so every little helps.
With your help, we can make loneliness a distant memory for isolated older people in YOUR community. With your help, we can reach our target of £3,000 which will be doubled to an incredible £6,000. With your help we CAN.........make a difference.

So how can you help?

We are really grateful for any support you can offer our campaign. You can help by doing the following:

  • Donate to the campaign via the link below, remember your donation will be doubled.
  • Ask 3 of your friends to donate
  • Share this email with your work colleagues or contacts and help us combat loneliness
  • Share our social media posts to spread the word.
  • Remember this is time sensitive so we need to act quickly to make the £3,000 target.

So from Midday on Tuesday 29th November until Tuesday 6th December simply click the link to donate. https://donate.thebiggive.org.uk/campaign/a056900002OYTClAAP
